Chapter 7, A New Day, A New Kyoji
Years have passed since the dream of the dragon. Kyoji is now older, wiser and more experienced. He is now a 20 year old and is almost on the same level as Fujita in terms of skill and strength.
"Morning Fujita!" yelled Kyoji with his deep voice.
"Hey," said Fujita sleepily. "Nowadays your the one yelling in my ear and slowly turning me deaf," said Fujita also giving an annoyed face."What's for breakfast?"
"Dumplings," Kyoji responded.
Fujita got out of bed and went to eat breakfast. "So Kyoji, what do you plan to do for a living?"
"I don't really know. Maybe be a freelance writer," said Kyoji while thinking about how he will find Kai and take on a job at the same time.
"Well you do have a talent with words," said Fujita.
For the rest of breakfast they talked more about Kyoji's future. After that they started training.
"Remember once you beat me in a duel then you will have surpassed me and will become a master of kendo yourself," said Fujita as he picked up two wooden swords. Fujita threw one of the swords to Kyoji.
"Alright," responded Kyoji as he caught the sword.
After the talking they both got into their opening stances. Kyoji stepped his left foot forward and held the sheeth of his sword with his left hand. Fujita did the very same stance.
Kyoji stared into Fujita's mysterious eyes trying to anticipate his first move. Fujita just stared Kyoji down. Seeing that he couldn't find out what Fujita was planning he did a feint jump and dashed forward for a slash. Fujita dodged it and slammed Kyoji's right ankle.
"Ow!" yelled Kyoji as he fell to the floor.
"Pay attention to your opponents movements! If you don't you will surely lose."
